If you've ever swum with seals, you'll love swimming with sea lions. And if you've never swum with seals, then sea lions is a great place to start! Our swim with the sea lions tour is new, different and suited to the adventure tourist, dive enthusiast or nature lover. Interaction is guaranteed!

Our swim with the sea lions tour has also been described as the best seal dive in the country!

The tour leaves from Port Lincoln in South Australia, where you climb aboard our comfortable boat for a short cruise to Seal Cove at Hopkins Island. Your hosts will make this trip as enjoyable as possible and there is plenty of room on board for you to stretch out and relax.

Upon our arrival at Seal Cove, the sea lions run down the beach to greet you with open flippers. They swim to the back of the boat where they wait while your host explains the guidelines and safety tips for interaction with these most engaging and entertaining puppy dogs of the ocean.

You spend about 90 minutes at Hopkins Island, swimming with the sea lions and enjoying a light morning tea, before boarding again for the return trip. On the way back we often see dolphins playing, plenty of sea birds and the comings and goings of the local tuna fleet.

We also stop at a tuna farm on the way home so you can experience another of Port Lincoln's premier attractions!

Guidelines:

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult and must have a parent or guardian in the water with them while they are swimming.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a minimum of five and a maximum of 18 people per group. Private groups can be organised upon request with a maximum of 21 people.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Session Length:

This experience is available seven days a week, weather depending, and providing that minimum numbers are met. Please be aware that you may have to wait for a date on which this can happen. We depart at 6.30am and return at 12 noon. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability.
