Developed by mountain bike professionals, this Sydney downhill mountain biking introductory course is aimed at taking those with some technical skills to the world of downhill and freeriding! This downhill mountain bike course covers the basics of downhill riding and teaches great techniques.

This is your first step towards riding like Nathan Rennie!
This course aims to improve your riding, balance, technical aptitude, speed and skills, and introduces techniques needed when the trail gets steep and technical and you want to take it fast! Classes are small so you get personalised attention and tuition and activities are developed to suit your level of experience.
Our staff are fully trained, accredited, professional and friendly and will ensure you enjoy the experience of learning how to improve your riding.
You will learn:
- Setting up your own bike for downhill and freeriding
- Basics on how to ride downhill
- Descending like a downhiller
- Introductory downhill cornering
- Roots and how to tackle them
- Tackling obstacles
- Negotiating small/medium drops safely
- Technical braking
- Landing jumps
- Self-assessment
Please Note: You need to bring your own mountain bike. We recommend that your bike is fully serviced by a qualified bike mechanic before attending this course.

Availability & Duration:
This experience takes place on selected dates throughout the year. Your mountain biking course starts at 9am and goes until 1.30pm.
Guidelines:
Children under 16 years of age should contact us to discuss their suitability prior to purchasing this experience. You need to have a good level of fitness and be confident and skilled on a mountain bike with a good level of technical ability.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. There will be a minimum of four and a maximum of eight participants in the group.
Weather:
This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date.
Extra Info:
You will need to sign a waiver prior to participating in this experience. You also need to bring your own mountain bike and other equipment – a kit list will be provided to you after booking. All trainers are accredited and have Wilderness First Aid qualifications.
