Experience flying like a bird, high above Newcastle and all while you have access to the flight controls! Your helicopter trial instructional flight is a truly unique and exhilarating experience that will see YOU flying the helicopter over some of Newcastle’s famous landmarks!
Your helicopter trial flight begins from one of Australia’s newest heliports, just 2 hours north of Sydney. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by one of our highly experienced helicopter flying instructors before receiving a pre-flight briefing on the helicopters controls and the flight process.
After the briefing, its time to take a few photos on board our brand new Robinson R22 for your first taste of helicopter pilot action!
Your helicopter trial flight will then take in some of the most breath-taking coastal and beach scenery along the Australian eastern seaboard and all while your instructor gradually introduces you to the controls of the helicopter. Following your instructors directions, you will then fly around Nobby’s Headland, down towards Newcastle Harbour, past the Brewery and Honeysuckle Boardwalk and back to the Heliport.
This truly is an exhilarating flight experience!

Newcastle Regional Heliport - approximately 2 hours north of Sydney.

Availability & Duration:
This experience is available for bookings 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday (excludes Christmas Day). Please allow about one hour for the entire experience, including the flight briefing, flight time and de-brief. Actual flight time is approximately 30 minutes.
Guidelines:
You MUST be over 16 years of age and weigh less than 109kg to participate.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. You will be with your qualified flight instructor at the time of the flight.
Weather:
The experience is affected by the weather. In the case of unsuitable conditions, we will reschedule your experience for later date.
Extra Info:
You will be in a Robinson R22 helicopter during your flight. All of our instructors are highly experienced pilots.
