Experience the thrill of an aerobatic flight in the legendary Pitts Special biplane. Sequences range from mild to wild, so you can have a gentle introduction to aerobatic flight or simply go for it. Securely strapped into the open cockpit flying at up to 300 KPH, you will have a blast!

On arrival, you will be briefed on all details of the aerobatic flight you are about to enjoy. There is only one small document to complete the formalities, and then you will be fitted out with a leather helmet with a built-in communications headset.

Our Pitts S2A biplane awaits you on the airport apron, and your friends may wish to take advantage of the photo opportunity at this point, while you are shown the aircraft and how best to board it.

Once you are settled in the open cockpit, we will ensure that you are secured in your 5 point aerobatic harness, plus the 2 point additional seat belt, with your headset correctly connected. For the duration of the flight you will have an unobstructed view from the front seat of the aircraft. Your pilot will be seated behind you.

You will take off and climb to 3500 ft, and then the fun begins. Your pilot will explain each maneuver before he flies it, commencing gently and gradually increasing the pace as you become more comfortable.

Your aerobatic flight includes the following maneuvers:

Aileron Rolls
Barrel Rolls
Loops
Hammerheads
Steep turns
Spins
Inverted Turns
Vertical Rolls
Reverse Cubans
And many, many more!!!

You can cut any sequence short or take a breather at any time. The flight is positioned to allow your companions to watch, but we advise that it is all but impossible to successfully video the flight from the ground.

On completion of your flight, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the facilities at the Airport.

Availability & Duration:

Please allow approximately 1 hour for the experience, including a briefing and 30 minutes flight time. We operate by appointment any day throughout the year. Please advise by phone if you are running late, so that we don’t inconvenience other participants.

Guidelines:

To participate in this experience you must be at least 12 years old (there is no upper age limit). Our normal maximum weight is 100 Kg, although we can extend this slightly with advance notice. You should also be reasonably fit and well on the day of the experience.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. In the aircraft will be just you and your pilot.

Weather:

We reserve the right to cancel and reschedule flights if the weather is deemed unsuitable for flying. If this is the case your flight will be rescheduled for a later date.

Extra Info:

Operating in 'LIMITED' category means that we required to have you sign a waiver. The aircraft is a Pitts S2A biplane, designed and built purely for aerobatics. It is fitted with a 6 litre Lycoming engine giving it sparkling performance.

This experience voucher is valid for six months from date of purchase.
