Take a closer look at the habitats of our amazing marine wildlife as you explore behind the scenes of the Sydney Aquarium. From the platypus and seal enclosures right through to the saltwater crocodiles and sharks, this tour is an informative and interesting look at the marine world!

Get ready to see the Sydney Aquarium like you have never seen before!

On the day of your behind the scenes aquarium tour, we’ll pick you up from your hotel or accommodation in the Sydney CBD and transport you in our luxury vehicle for your behind the scenes experience at the Aquarium.

Once you arrive, you’ll embark on a journey of discovery that will allow you to experience the enormous diversity of eight unique Australian environments and the aquatic life that each of these environments support. Accompanied by your qualified marine expert, you’ll be taken behind the scenes.

The tour begins at the platypus exhibit, where you’ll have the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see the burrow system and the temperature ranges within the platypus enclosure. Next, its off to the saltwater crocodile enclosure, the seal sanctuary and past the quarantine tanks.

One of the highlights is most definitely is the behind the scenes look at the shark tank. Here you can view the infamous shark tunnels from above, and see where the divers get in to feed them. You’ll also learn about sharks, their teeth and their habits. The variety of marine life is simply astounding and you’ll leave the Aquarium with a renewed appreciation for our underwater animals!

At the end of the tour, you’ll be escorted back to your luxury vehicle and chauffeured back to your Sydney accommodation in comfort after an insightful and enthralling experience at the Aquarium!

Venue:

We will collect you from your accommodation in the Sydney CBD, NSW. If you are not staying in CBD we can meet you at the Aquarium.

The price quoted is for 2 people. We operate with a maximum of 10 people on the tour. Please Note: This is not an exclusive tour. There will be others with you on the experience.

Session Length:

We operate 7 days a week starting at 9am, all year round (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. Please allow 2 - 2.5 hours for your experience.
