What is the Experience?

An early morning hot air ballooning flight is the perfect way to see Melbourne with Port Phillip Bay creating the perfect backdrop to take in Australia's second largest city. Depending on the winds you may fly over the CBD. Or the inner suburbs, parks and gardens to discover this Garden State.

Your child's hot air ballooning flight over Melbourne starts when we meet you at your hotel or advise you of the meeting location before first light (you will be advised of the exact time the evening before your flight).

Your pilot will give you a short briefing and you will then be transported to the launch site where you may help with the launch, or stand back and take pictures.

Then away we go, drifting gently over the city of Melbourne in our beautiful hot air balloon. Your flight will last for approximately 1 hour.

Afterwards we make our final landing, pack the balloon away and invite you to join us for a traditional champagne breakfast (additional cost of $25) at the Hilton hotel. (Although as this package is for kids, the champagne will be replaced by non-alcoholic beverages).

Session Length

Approximately 4 hours in total from check in to the champagne breakfast celebration. (The flight itself is 1 hour in duration).

Guidelines:

Children aged 8 - 12 years. Passengers need to be able to climb into the basket, and stand for the hour's flight. We will need to be informed of someone has a medical condition that may preclude them from flying e.g a back problem.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one child between 8 - 12 years of age. There will be a maximum of 4 and a minimum of 10 people in the basket during your flight.

Weather:

In the case of windy, wet miserable weather the flight is cancelled at the pilots discretion. Flights are usually confirmed the night before.

Other Info:

Bring a hat and your camera as there are fantastic photo opportunities. Price is per person. Breakfast is an additional extra to be paid directly to the supplier.
