Scuba Diving PADI Open Water Course

Experience Code: BPL211

Description

Discover what lies beneath the sea! This 4-day PADI open water course marks the beginning of your scuba diving adventures. A team of professional instructors and assisting Dive Masters provide a superlative environment for attaining your license to dive up to 18 metres below the sea!

To become an Open Water Certified Scuba Diver you must complete three components, generally taught over 4 days.

The 4-day course involves developing knowledge behind scuba diving through interaction with your instructor, watching videos, home study and knowledge reviews.

You will complete confined water dives in the heated onsite training pool under the supervision of your qualified PADI instructor. This component enables you to develop skills and procedures of safe diving and to become comfortable with diving techniques before heading out for your open-water dives.

In the final 2 days, you will complete four open water dives, which includes 1 boat dive, in Port Phillip Bay. Again you will practice skills learnt in the pool and begin your discovery of the amazing and diverse marine life of the underwater world. On completion of the course, you will be a PADI Open Water Certified Diver, with an Internationally recognised passport to dive around the world!

The Open Water Course includes:

  • Scuba Dive Instruction, Equipment Hire & Air Fills,
  • Pool Dives & Hot Showers after all dives,
  • 4 Open Water Dives including 1 Boat Dive in Port Phillip Bay,
  • PADI Open Water Course Manual,
  • PADI Scuba Dive Certification Card &
  • PADI Dive Log and Tables.

You'll be able to discover spectacular creatures including the famous weedy sea dragons and sea horse gardens plus world-class dive sites which include sunken submarines and shipwrecks!
