What is the Experience?

Australia's most famous one day white water rafting experience! Up to 5 hours and 45 rapids of adventure, magnificent waterfalls, World Heritage Rainforest and the assurance of a fully trained river guide, the Tully River is the ultimate in rafting! Rapids to grade 4.

Experience Australia's most famous white water rafting experience on the Tully River, south of Cairns. After being picked up from your accommodation you will enjoy a scenic journey through cloud covered coastal mountains, clear rivers and fields of sugar cane before the action begins. With up to 5 hours of rafting you will experience such exhilarating rapids as the unforgettable 'Alarm Clock', 'Wet and Moisty', 'Stair Case' and the dramatic 'Theatre'. You stop opposite Ponytail Falls, where a BBQ lunch is provided and time is made to replenish your batteries before you embark on the afternoons rapids.

After your trip you will go to Rafters Cafe and re-live your day with your guides, viewing the thrills and spills on video, light refreshment included. Action photos and video of your day are available for purchase.

Suitability & Guidelines

Venue:

The Tully River is located 140 kilometres south of Cairns. The river flows through World Heritage Rainforest, after plunging over the 260m Tully Falls, upstream of the Put-In.

Session Length

All day from 7.00am till 6.30pm. Please allow up to 11.5 hours for this experience. White water rafting on the Tully River is not available on Christmas Day or the 1st January. This experience is available for bookings daily.

Guidelines:

The minimum age for white water rafting is 13 years old. Passengers will be required to sign a liability waiver form before their trip. Children under 18 years of age require a Parent's or Guardians counter signature on waiver form.

Weather:

Rafting trips available year round due to high water levels, in the event of water levels too high after a cyclone, the trip will be cancelled and rescheduled
