Kayak Moreton Bay Marine Park For Four

What is the Experience?

You and three friends can experience the tranquillity and beauty of the Pumicestone Passage on our guided kayak tours in the Moreton Bay Marine Park on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. You will experience abundant bird and marine life up close, magnificent scenery and golden, secluded beaches!

Your day begins at 8.30am with kayak and safety equipment familiarisation and paddling instructions. This only takes a few minutes and follows with a leisurely kayak towards Bribie Island, where we may circumnavigate some of the smaller islands, glide silently past flocks of roosting birds, drift over the sea grass beds, where fish and stingray can be seen.

At approximately 10.30am, we will arrive at Lions Park to boil the billy for morning tea. After a biscuit and cuppa, grab an apple and join the guide on a short nature walk across Bribie Island to emerge on a secluded ocean beach. Your guide will point out places of interest as you look across to Moreton Island in the distance. You may even see manta rays, dolphins or whales frolicking among the waves.

Your journey continues along the shoreline, where you may visit the sand blow or navigation tower before you return to the mainland and the entrance to Bells Creek where lunch will be served at approximately 1.00pm under the shady trees in the Park.

The afternoon will be spent gliding silently in your kayak along the banks of Bells Creek, where the scenery goes from Mangroves to open forest. Paddling in your kayak in the shade of the overhanging branches, your guide will point out the nesting sights of several species of birds or prey, and the numerous forest dwelling and waterbirds that live and visit the area.

Your day will finish approximately 3.30pm as you leave your kayak on the beach at Jensen Park before you are returned by vehicle to Lamerough Parade.
