What is the Experience?

Looking for a luxurious and romantic getaway in the Yarra Valley? Indulge in a three-course a la carte dinner, a traditional claw foot bath and a king-size bed. The next morning you'll meet at dawn for a full hour hot air balloon flight over the spectacular, patch-worked Yarra Valley!

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly staff before heading off to your suite where you can enjoy a plate of petit fours. The River Suite features a king-sized bed, antique furnishings for an opulent setting, a private marble bathroom and with a traditional claw foot bath, stunning views of the grounds to the distant hills and of course, all of the modern conveniences you’d come to expect such as a TV, DVD and broadband are included to aid relaxation.

The textures, colours and lighting within your suite are subdued and sumptuous, setting a mood of refinement and pure indulgence. A daily newspaper and turn down service are the cherry on top.

In the evening, enjoy a 3 course, a la carte dinner for two (beverages are not included) in Eleonore's; an elegant restaurant filled with period décor and an award winning, modern European menu.

The following morning, you’ll wake before dawn in eager anticipation of your hot air balloon flight. Our staff will call you 30 minutes before you are to be picked up from Hotel Reception. On the morning, your pilot will provide you with a short briefing and you will be transported to the launch site, where you can assist with the balloon set up. Before long, it’ll be time for take-off as you gradually and gently float over the Yarra Valley in a beautiful hot air balloon.

Your flight will last for approximately one hour before you land in a friendly farmer’s paddock! After packing away the balloon, you head back to Sweetwater Cafe where you can celebrate your fabulous morning over a delicious sparkling wine breakfast.

Venue:

Yarra Valley, Victoria – approximately 50 minutes north-east of the Melbourne CBD.

Session Length

This experience includes one night’s accommodation in a River Suite and hot air ballooning for two over the Yarra Valley. This experience is available for bookings 7 days a week, all year round, subject to availability. Please book well in advance. Check-in is at 2pm and check-out is at 11am.

Guidelines:

This accommodation experience has been designed for couples. You must be physically fit and able to get in and out of the hot air balloon. You must be able to stand for the duration of the 60 minute flight.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people in a River Suite. The accommodation consists of 32 suites of 4 different styles. There will be a minimum of six and a maximum of 16 passengers in the basket with you during your hot air balloon flight.

Weather:

The hot air ballooning is subject to the prevailing weather conditions. In the event of poor conditions the flight and sparkling wine breakfast will be cancelled. However your package will still include a fully cooked Buffet Breakfast in the Sweetwater Café.

Other Info:

Ballooning is an audience participation activity and you will be encouraged to assist with the set up and pack away of the balloon. It is an active morning in the outdoors, so wear clothes that can get stained or dirty. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
