Travel aboard a large, high-speed, catamaran to the idyllic Great Barrier Reef for a day of scuba diving. Hardy Reef is one of the most beautiful & prolific of nature’s coral gardens, confirmed by the vibrant coral and abundance of marine life experienced in this underwater wonderland!

Let our experienced dive instructors show you the underwater beauty of the magnificent Great Barrier Reef in the beautiful Whitsundays.

As an accredited PADI facility, we offer Certified diving at Reefworld, a permanently moored adventure platform on the Great Barrier Reef. Reefworld is positioned on the outer edge of Hardy Reef, which is a 'patch reef' on the Great Barrier Reef and all dives are conducted along the 70 metre reef wall.

As a diver, you can expect to see a large variety of soft and hard corals and many species of ‘people friendly’ fish – sergeant majors, tusk fish, surgeon fish and fusiliers to name a few.

The more observant diver can find angel fish, pincushion starfish, feather stars and an incredible range of nudibranches and flatworms. The resident Maori Wrasse will demand your undivided attention and George the giant Queensland Groper may even make an appearance!

We begin with an in depth briefing, which will cover any questions or concerns. Then you’ll enter the water via the dive area and dive for approximately 45 minutes to a maximum depth of 16m. The top 16m of Hardy Reef hosts the most marine life and the more recent coral formations, so it’s where the best coral and fish life is to be found. If the tide and conditions are suitable, a drift dive may also be an option.

All equipment and a guiding instructor is included in the cost of your dive. Masks, fins, weight belts and wetsuits are all available for use. Enjoy the rest of the day’s activities at Reefworld such as snorkelling, semi-submersible tours, use of the underwater viewing chamber, sunbathing and lunch at your convenience around your organised dive time.

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST be a certified diver to participate in this experience.

Venue:

We depart for the Great Barrier Reef from most Whitsunday ports, namely mainland Airlie Beach / Shute Harbour, Hamilton Island and Daydream Island.

Guidelines:

This experience is for certified divers ONLY. Certified divers must produce their C Card. All divers must complete a medical questionnaire prior to diving and certain conditions / medications may exclude you from diving.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. There will be up to six divers with an experienced dive instructor per certified dive.

Weather:

The weather or other unforseen circumstances may result in the cancellation of, or alteration to this service. In such cases, we will endeavour to rechedule your experience for a later date.

Session Length:

This experience is a full day in duration and operates every day of the week. Bookings need to be made at least 2 days prior to your preferred date.

Extra Info:

The minimum age to SCUBA dive at Reefworld is 12 years of age. All divers must complete a medical questionnaire prior to diving and certain conditions / medications may exclude a guest from diving.

This experience voucher is valid for six months from date of purchase.
