Take a friend or partner on a two-hour beach trail ride along the wild deserted beaches between Warrnambool and Port Fairy, just three hours from Melbourne. We have horses to suit everyone's ability, so come and feel the wind in you hair and experience the fun of horse riding along the beach!

You will ride on your horse through Kellies Swamp, which is full of swans and other bird life from August through to January, into the tall sand dunes and onto the beach.

The beach is a beautiful, deserted, pristine expanse of sand that stretches for 20km from Warrnambool to Port Fairy, without rocky outcrops or any other stops.

Our horses love getting out in the fresh air so this is the perfect way to experience the sometimes windy Warrnambool!

We offer first-time riders the opportunity to enjoy beach riding as we provide great instructions before leaving the stables and have qualified staff who will help you ride our wonderful horses. We have specially bred horses to cater for anyone from the nervous beginner to the very experienced rider, so everyone can enjoy the thrill of horse riding along a wide open beach! Horse riding is truly a great activity. It is a fantastic way to spend some time outdoors, it's exercise for your whole body and it's a heap of fun!

You have the choice to get on a horse for the first time and canter up the beach, a thrilling achievement, or just take it easy and spend time taking in the scenery. Staff lead the groups so every rider will have the choice to go steady or give cantering a go. We don't, however, gallop our horses.

All seasons are great to ride in. Rug up in winter and experience the white-wash waves and beautiful gold-and-green sand dunes or come for a ride in summer and enjoy the pristine deep blue water and sunny beaches. If you are lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of a wallaby or a seal, otherwise you can just sit back and view a great range of bird life!
