Combine fine food, wine and a scenic helicopter flight and you have the best experience the Wine Country has to offer! Fly over the picturesque Hunter Valley onboard a helicopter and touchdown for a three-course restaurant meal. You’re sure to make a lasting impression on that special someone!

On the day of your experience you will arrive at Cessnock Airport and meet with your friendly helicopter pilot. Once you board the helicopter you will be given a headset so that you can communicate with your pilot during the flight. The helicopter blades whir into action above you and you’re up and away, flying over the scenic Hunter Valley to your restaurant.

You will have chosen one of two restaurants for your dining experience – Amanda’s On the Edge or Esca Bimbadgen. Both restaurants have sweeping views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside.

Your pilot will set down in front of the restaurant and you will climb out, feeling like celebrity! It’s not every day that you arrive at a restaurant in your own privately-chartered helicopter!

Once inside the restaurant it’s time to relax and enjoy a three-course meal and a bottle of wine. You will also be treated to a glass of champagne on arrival! Sit back and take in the amazing panoramic views while you dine in luxury. Depending on the restaurant you choose and on the seasonal menu, you may decide from items such as zucchini flower pakoras, chargrilled Wagu scotch fillet, duck confit and oven-roasted quail. Whatever your choice, it will be complemented with a bottle of wine from the restaurant's extensive wine menu. Make sure you leave room for an equally impressive dessert!

When you have finished your meal you will reboard the helicopter and your pilot will take you for a scenic flight over the Wine Country. Look down upon the magnificent patchwork of vineyards and estates below. Your pilot will provide you will commentary during the flight, impressing upon you his knowledge of the beautiful Hunter Valley region.

There is a maximum weight limit 120 kg per person. You must be 18 years of age or over to consume alcohol during this experience.

The price quoted is for two people. The helicopter can carry up to three passengers.

This experience is available seven days a week. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Please allow three hours for this experience. The duration of your scenic flight will be 20 minutes.
