Pathfinder Navigation Weekend
What is the Experience?
If you’re a skier, mountain biker, climber or just love walking in the bush then you should become a Pathfinder! Learn these important navigation and orienteering skills to become a safer and more self-reliant wilderness adventurer.
A two day wilderness course that teaches participants essential outdoor survival skills – the ability to travel through the bush, the hills and mountains using a map, compass and navigation skills. This is an informative, adventurous and very practical outdoor experience suitable for complete beginners. Learn all about navigation, orienteering, using maps, compasses, GPS and emergency methods using the sun and stars. Fully qualified Instructors will show the way!
Venue:
Katoomba, NSW.
Session Length
A weekend activity starts between 8:45am - 9.30am on the first day through to 5 - 6pm the following day. Please note: your start time will be confirmed at time of booking.

Guidelines:
This activity does not require any special fitness, if you can walk you can take part.
Numbers:
Group sizes are approximately one instructor for every six participants.
Weather:
RAIN, HAIL or SHINE the weather does not affect this activity.
Other Info:
Arrival time at the designated departure point is around 9:00am. Lunch and refreshments is supplied on each day of the course. Overnight Accommodation is required in the Blue Mountains, contact our office for recommendations. All participants receive a complimentary compass.
