What is the Experience?

The versatility of the Yak-52 must be experienced to be believed. An extremely manoeuvrable aerobatic aeroplane with a maximum speed of 194 knots and G limits of +7 and -5 the Yak-52 provides a unique adventure flight experience suitable for all levels of flyer from the timid to the adventurous.

This is a 1.25 hour personal Yak-52 Adventure Experience.

Beginning with a full pre-mission briefing both in and out of the cockpit including safety briefing and cockpit familiarisation as well as a discussion and demonstration of aerobatic manoeuvres that will be performed during your flight. You can expect 45 minutes engine time with 35 minutes spent airborne. For the duration of the flight you will be sitting in the back seat of the aircraft, behind the pilot. After your flight there will be a Sortie debrief. Free digital photos will be taken of your adventure and provided to you on CD.

The Yak-52 was originally built as a tandem 2 seat primary training aircraft for the Russian Airforce to train their pilots, they quickly made a name for themselves as an extremely manoeuvrable aerobatic aeroplane. With a maximum speed of 194 knots and G limits of +7 and -5 the Yak-52 provides a unique adventure flight experience suitable for all levels of flyer from the timid to the most adventurous.

PLEASE NOTE: This experience voucher is valid for six months from date of purchase from Red Balloon Days and the flight must be booked and flown within this time period. Please note that flights conducted outside of the initial period of the voucher may be subject to extra charges if the price of the package or fuel levy increases.

Booking terms and conditions must be signed and returned when booking your flight.

Venue:

1.5 hours drive from Melbourne CBD

Session Length

2 hours. Free digital photos will be taken of your adventure and provided to you on CD. This supplier has limited capacity, please activate your voucher 4-6 weeks before you would like to do the experience.

Guidelines:

Height max 6ft 2. Weight max 110kg. It's best to eat lightly on the day and refrain from drinking alcohol for 24 hrs before the flight. Experience may be subject to a fuel levy. IMPORTANT: To participate in this experience, you are required to bring your gift voucher and photo ID.

All flights are subject to weather. Please provide us with your mobile phone number to allow us to contact you in the case of changes to the flight schedule.

Other Info:

Bookings rescheduled 22 days prior to the flight are subject to a $50 admin fee, within 21 days prior are subject to a 10% administration fee (minimum of $100). 7 days prior are subject to a 20% admin fee (minimum of $200). Changes made on the day are subject to a 40% cancellation fee.
