A Sydney Harbour Fishing Gear and Boat Hire experience is easy fun in the sun! Don't worry about all your gear and having the right tools for the job... it all comes with! Travel to those elusive spots where the fish are biting, fast and furious. Experience the beauty of fishing on Sydney Harbour!

Ever wanted to travel out on the water to do a spot of fishing without a fishing guide by your side? If you’re looking for the independence that boat ownership brings, then perhaps hiring a boat is the next best thing! Best of all, we’ll even provide you with all of the essential fishing gear so all you have to do is head out on the water and dangle your line! Simply, take the controls of your hired boat and follow the map to some of your favorite fishing spots in the northern end of the harbour.

Our self-drive leisure boats are the perfect choice if you want to explore Manly's waterways in comfort and safety. Our boats are 4.2m long and 2.2m wide and feature a 15hp motor, forward steering controls, a removable canopy and cushioned seating. Its polyethylene hull construction provides maximum buoyancy, making them extremely stable and robust and they are simple to drive; no boat license required!

Licensed to carry up to 5 people, you can make a day of the experience with family and friends as you try to find out where the fish are biting. Included in your boat hire are paddles, life jackets, ropes, and an anchor and fishing gear, including frozen fishing bait, an esky and cutting board, 2 x fishing rods and tackle, 2 x hand reels, a landing net and a burly basket.

Please Note: You may take the boat to Collins Flat, Store Beach, Quarantine Beach, Reef Beach and more, however, the boat must not travel outside of the Quarantine Station or Dobroyd Head.

Venue:

Manly, NSW – approximately 25 minutes north of the Sydney CBD.

Session Length

Boat hire is available Tues - Fri. This experience is three hours in duration. Boats are available between 9am - 5pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the hire form.

Guidelines:

You must be at least 18 years of age to hire the boat. No boat license is required. We recommend that you take a mobile phone with you on the day, in the event that you need to contact someone for assistance.

Numbers:

The vessel can comfortably carry 2 – 4 people and operates with a maximum of 5 people.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the event of poor conditions such as high wind or large swells, your experience may have to be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.

Other Info:

If you do not have a valid fishing license and you wish to use the boat to fish recreationally, you must purchase a fishing license prior to the trip. Licenses are valid for 48 hours at a cost of $5.50pp. They are available for purchase online from the Dept. of Primary Industries.
