Located in the Blue Mountains, just two hours from Sydney, your horse riding adventure will take you through pastures and wilderness, to a gazebo where you’ll enjoy a delicious picnic in a pristine setting.

During this exhilarating horse ride you will travel into deep gullies and along high ridges amid stunning scenery of lush pastures, rugged mountains and pristine wilderness.

It is a great way to see the spectacular Blue Mountains and spend some quality time with a friend or partner.

When you arrive you will be matched with a horse that compliments your level of riding experience. This trail ride is perfect for beginners as we have over 100 horses of differing temperaments for you to choose from. At the guide’s discretion, more experienced riders may be able to break away from the group at intervals during the ride.

Your ride leaves from the farmyard and slowly meanders through paddocks, up along ridges, and then down through the wilderness. You will see horses, cattle, sheep and dogs along the way. You may also be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of some of the native animals that live here – wallabies, kangaroos, goannas or even dingoes.

Our property is very large and is located in the heart of the Blue Mountains, which is a World Heritage listed area. Our guides are friendly, highly skilled and love the outdoors. They will thoroughly enjoy showing you around this unique and picturesque environment.

Your horse ride ends at a gazebo where a delicious picnic will be set up for you. Your picnic may include a bottle of wine, fresh juice, cheese platter and crackers, a selection of cold meats, salads, crusty bread, apple pie and cream, fruit, and tea and coffee. You will enjoy your picnic while looking out over the beautiful Megalong Valley and listening to calming music, which will set the mood.

Guidelines:

There is a maximum weight limit of 110kg for inexperienced riders and riders must not have any medical conditions that will hinder their safety during the ride. You must be 18 years of age or over to be able to drink wine during your picnic. We can cater for people with any level of riding ability.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people. It includes a private picnic lunch for two in our gazebo. Numbers in the riding group may vary from anywhere between two and 50 people.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. We operate in most weather conditions however in the case of extreme weather we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date. The itinerary may also be varied, depending on the weather. A Driza-Bone may be provided if it is raining.

Session Length:

This experience is available for bookings seven days a week, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Rides leave in the mornings and the afternoons. Please check which times are available when you book with us. The duration of your ride will be 60 minutes and your picnic 90 minutes.

Extra Info:

You will need to sign a waiver on the day, prior to participating in this experience. Remember to bring sunscreen, insect repellent and your camera! Please advise us at the time of booking if you have any special dietary requirements.
