Hot Air Ballooning Over Mildura At Sunrise

What is the Experience?

Drift over beautiful Mildura at sunrise in the basket of a hot-air balloon! What could be more peaceful than looking down at the Victorian landscape from anywhere between 100 – 300m off the ground? After an hour of hot air ballooning you’ll enjoy a full restaurant breakfast and toast to your flight!

Your hot-air ballooning adventure begins approximately an hour before sunrise when you are picked up from your Mildura accommodation in our 4WD and transported to the launch site. In order to assess the best possible location, we release a small test balloon prior to launch.

Once we arrive at the launch site we unpack the balloon and basket and inflate the balloon. This is a chance for you to get hands-on! The preparation takes approximately 30 minutes.

After a short briefing you will climb into the basket. It’s time for lift-off! From the basket of the balloon you will take in spectacular views as you float gently over the Mildura region at sunrise. With the tapestry of Mildura’s vineyards, lakes, orchards and rivers below, this will be a flight to remember. So make sure you bring your camera! Your pilot will take you close to the Murray River as it meanders beneath you and provide interesting and informative commentary along the way.

After landing, we pack up the balloon and you will be taken to a local restaurant where you’ll enjoy a full breakfast and celebratory toast to your flight.

After breakfast you’ll be presented with a flight certificate and we will drop you off again at your accommodation. All this and the afternoon is still ahead of you!

Suitability & Guidelines

Venue:

Mildura, Victoria – approximately 550km north-west of the Melbourne CBD.

Session Length

Flights operate seven days a week, excluding Christmas Day, and are subject to availability. We will pick you up approximately one hour before sunrise. The duration of your hot-air balloon flight will be 60 minutes. Please allow approximately four hours for this experience.

Guidelines:

Participants must be able to climb in and out of the basket and be able to stand for the 60-minute duration of the flight. Bring your camera or video camera and a sense of adventure!

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. There will be a minimum of four and a maximum of nine passengers in the basket during your flight.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of cancellation, you will be notified and your hot-air balloon flight will be rescheduled for a later date.
