Phillip Island Wildlife & Nature Park For Two
What is the Experience?
Phillip Island is Melbourne’s wildlife island and has an abundance of nature-based experiences just waiting to be discovered. We offer a day of nature and wildlife that you’ll never forget! While visiting the nature park you’ll see penguins, seals, koalas and go behind the scenes with an eco tour!
On the day of your experience you will make your own way to Phillip Island for a day packed full of wildlife and nature!
You will begin your day at Churchill Island Heritage Farm where you will have a delicious morning tea whilst enjoying the beautiful bay views from the café. Here you’ll also see heritage gardens, buildings and ancient moonah trees, and meet the farmyard animals.
From here you will visit our Koala Conservation Centre. Here you can stroll through the eucalypt woodland and meet our koalas, keep a look out for other wild animals including wallabies, echidnas and many colourful birds in this natural area. Our treetop boardwalks allow you to get up close and personal with the koalas and learn about their fascinating lives.
Next you can explore the wonders of the southern waters with a coastal walk that takes you through colonies of seabirds to the spectacular blowhole. You will learn about the world’s largest Australian fur seal colony, just 1.5km offshore at Seal Rocks, and visit our information centre to learn about more amazing marine creatures.
You will then stop for lunch whilst overlooking the wild waters of the Bass Strait and the spectacular nearby rock formations.
Join in on a penguin eco tour a few hours before sunset and join a ranger to discover what goes on behind the scenes at the nightly Penguin Parade. You’ll learn amazing penguin facts and get great penguin viewing hints for the evening ahead!
At sunset, the world’s smallest penguins, the Little Penguins, emerge from the sea and waddle ashore to their sand-dune burrows. With your pass, you’ll get exclusive viewing. The viewing platform and boardwalk allows you to enjoy the penguins up close with a limited number of people.
