PADI Open Water Dive Course
What is the Experience?
Scuba diving offers the best when it comes to out of this world experiences! Experience an exciting and ever changing underwater world which always offers something new and exciting from amazing clouds of colourful fish and coral reefs to the mysterious remains of sunken ships!
The thrill of breathing underwater and your first scuba diving adventure is something you will always remember! With the help of one of our diving instructors, you can learn to dive safely in a fun and relaxed environment.
This 3 day course will bring you all of the excitement, knowledge and experience you need to become a PADI open water diver which will teach you to dive safely from the shore, off structures and off boats.
After studying the theory modules in your own time, your course begins with a short theory session followed by 5 modular swimming pool skill circuits to train you to use your equipment, signals and skills safely. This confined water session, conducted by one of our highly qualified PADI dive instructors. The next day, you will be scuba diving and two shore based dives will see you refining your skills and exploring the underwater world for the very first time. The feeling of being amongst the aquatic world is exhilarating!
On the final day, you will be taken to Rottnest Island on board our purpose built dive vessel; the Ocean Invader for two awesome dives at out Island playground. During these dives, you’ll swim around some of the most amazing limestone and coral structures in the Southern Hemisphere. See crayfish, stingrays, cuttlefish and hundreds of different species of fish as you glide through your dive in the safe hands of your instructor. During the surface interval between dives you will have a BBQ lunch (supplied) and you will have ample time to relax and sunbathe on the upper deck of the Ocean Invader or head out for a snorkel in the pristine waters of one of Rottnest Island’s sheltered bays.
On completion of the final dive we head back to Fremantle and return to the dive centre to celebrate your certification as we welcome you to the world of diving as a qualified diver. A truly memorable day is rounded off by the presentation of your PADI open water dive course certificate.
Venue:
Canning Vale, Western Australia - approximately 30 minutes south of the Perth CBD.
Session Length
This experience operates every week and is 3 days in duration (Friday – Sunday). Summer bookings should be made well in advance. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. We are closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Guidelines:
A diving medical (AS4005.1) must be completed prior to commencement of the course. There is no upper age limit however there is a minimum age requirement of 14 years. You should be capable in the water. A 200m swim and treading water assessment will be part of your course.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 students in the group. Should minimum numbers not be met, we reserve the right to reschedule the experience for a later date.
Weather:
This experience may be affected by the weather. If the sea is too rough then the boat diving day will be rescheduled. If this is the case, we will endeavour to complete the course in the set time and you will be offered a voucher to enjoy your trip to Rottnest Island at a later date.
Other Info:
The content is as follows: Private study in your own time (theory modules 1-5 and open water DVD), Fridays from 9.30am – 5pm (pool modules 1-5), Saturday from 8.30am – 4.30pm (shore dives 1 and 2 and final exam) and Sunday from 8am – 6.30pm (boat dives and certificate presentation).
This experience voucher is valid for six months from date of purchase.
