If you love movies and history, then you’ll enjoy being taken on a tour of some of Sydney’s most famous movie locations! This tour will see you exploring the best kept movie secrets of Sydney from the locations of The Matrix, Mission Impossible 2, Priscilla, Muriel's Wedding and many more!

The Sydney location for the movie 'Australia', which is currently being filmed and due for release in 2008, is already included in the tour!

The city of Sydney and its suburbs have featured in hundreds of films over the years and in recent international major blockbusters to give Sydney a multi-million dollar showcase.

During your movie tour experience, you’ll enjoy a fun filled half day visiting Sydney’s secret movie locations – visit places depicting Spanish scenes, drag queens, a look at aerial drama and scenic panorama. Your tour guide will recap some of the early films of Australia’s international stars such as Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Heath Ledger, Toni Collette, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving and many others.

In fact, you may not be aware of this, but ‘Aussiewood’ arrived before Hollywood and our early film makers were years ahead of Britain’s film industry in quality and quantity during the early 1900’s. On tour you will hear more of our film inventions, our actors, film gossip, why Sydney is the director’s dream and even some local history as many of the locations have another story to tell. Stretch your vocal chords in a sing-along from Priscilla, answer some fun trivia quiz questions and listen to onboard movie music and commentary about the Aussie film industry of over 110 years.

You will need to be able to get on and off the coach with little assistance and be able to walk to various locations.

The price quoted is for one adult, for childrens prices please see product code SMT982. We operate with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 18 people. Should minimum numbers not be met, we reserve the right to reschedule your experience for a later date.

Weather:

This experience operates in most weather conditions. In the event of torrential rain, the tour may be modified.

Session Length:

Tours operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, all year round (except Christmas and Boxing Day), subject to minimum numbers. We depart at 9am and the tour concludes between 12.30pm – 1pm.
