Record Your Own Original Song

What is the Experience?

Write and record original music in your own home or recording studio with the help of a professional musician! With an experienced songwriter by your side you'll create a completely original piece of music from scratch, performing and recording your creativity onto a CD!

You will decide on the musical genre, the music itself, the lyrics and the melody. If you can sing or play an instrument you'll be involved at all levels, otherwise the musician will do much of the work under your guidance.

Your musician will coach you through the songwriting process and help turn your ideas into great music. We’ll supply all the gear you need to record your song but you can also use poems or music that you have already written, call upon inspiration from other bands and artists or create a piece of music completely from scratch.

Your personality and style will be reflected in your song, whether it be a little bit of rock'n'roll or a little bit of soul.

At then end of your recording session you'll have your very own original song recorded onto CD!

Dedicate it to someone you love, give it to someone who has everything or just enjoy learning how to make music and keep it for yourself!

Where & When
Suitability & Guidelines

Venue:

Sydney and Perth: we’ll come to your home (within a 20km radium of the CBD). Melbourne: join us at our professional recording studio in Hughesdale at no charge. We will travel outside these areas for an additional cost - please contact us to enquire.

Session Length

This experience is available seven days a week, day and evening, and is by appointment only. The duration of your experience will be 2-2.5 hours.

Guidelines:

This experience is suitable for anyone over five years of age. No musical experience is required, just a passion for music and creating something original. This experience is also suitable for songwriters and performers who are looking for extra support and advice.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be one-on-one with your professional songwriter/musician on the day.

Other Info:

You may wish to compile some lyrics or written music and think about the kind of song you would like to record prior to your experience. We must have access to power and need a large table or small open space to work from.
