Indulge in the tranquillity of Tasmania’s Huon Valley as you and your partner are spoiled with a two night mini getaway in a luxurious country character home, just 40 minutes from Hobart. Experience a private painting lesson and finish with a soak in the sauna and romantic, outdoor spa!

As you arrive at your creative getaway, you’ll see a magnificent Californian Bungalow home, set amongst tranquil gardens. The entire house with all of its luxurious amenities is exclusively yours for the duration of your two night stay and a Tasmanian sparkling wine and cheese platter awaits your arrival. The home is decorated throughout with original paintings by your hostess and her father and each room features beautiful unique objects and furnishings from all around the world.

The home is your private haven for pampering and enjoying the finest food and creature comforts. Take an invigorating dry sauna, relax with a steam bath or indulge in the outdoor hot tub spa on the balcony as you gaze at the night sky.

You will find yourself refreshed and eager to spend the following day at the studio, where your artist hostess will guide you through a private 4 hour class in watercolour painting. All levels of experience are catered for, and all materials are provided. It is her passion to share the spontaneous, creative expression that watercolour allows. She will begin by teaching basic techniques with emphasis on colour mixing and brush work and go through several exercises which highlight these.

In the evening, choose from one of the many fine restaurants within convenient driving distance or prepare a meal together in the gourmet country kitchen. Afterwards, relax by the fire with a good book, or enjoy a movie on the in the lounge accompanied by port and chocolates.

After a heavenly night's rest, make your way to the kitchen to prepare a country breakfast. Full breakfast provisions are provided each morning, including free range eggs and freshly squeezed orange juice. Enjoy breakfast in the sunroom or outside in the garden.

You'll be completely refreshed and rejuvenated by this mini artistic getaway which will rebalance your body, mind, and spirit, providing a creative and inspiring experience like no other.

Please consult your GP if you have any conditions which may preclude use of the hot tub spa, sauna, and or steam room. Pregnant women are advised to not use these facilities. Please take care to drink alcohol responsibly when using the spa facilities.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people. This mini retreat is a private experience for one couple. The entire house and spa facilities are for your exclusive use.

Session Length:

This artistic getaway is 2 nights in duration. Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11am. We are available for bookings all year round, (except 21 December – 6 January and 21 March – 24 March) subject to availability. Dinner is not included in the package.
