Climb aboard our luxury 'pioneer-style' Clydesdale-drawn wagons and discover the delicious tastes of the Swan Valley, colonial history, breath-taking trails through natural wetlands, scented pine forests, lush olive groves and spectacular vineyards.

Your unique horse adventure tour begins when you are introduced to our friendly Clydesdale horses, before climbing aboard luxury 'pioneer-style' weatherproof wagons. For the next 3.5 hours, we will introduce you to the many tastes, sights and experiences synonymous with this historic wine region only 25 minutes from Perth.

Our trail slowly travels lakeside to the scented pine forest, lush olive groves and deep into the heart of the natural wetland bird sanctuary. Sitting alongside the driver is a highlight and seating is rotated during the morning to ensure everyone enjoys this unique pioneer experience.

Arriving at the winery, take your seat on the verandah overlooking the vineyard and prepare yourself to taste the regions most exciting and delicious treats. You'll be introduced to a range of extra virgin olive oils and discover the art of judging the 'good oil'. Estate grown olives and seasonal produce like fresh asparagus, sweet table grapes and juicy citrus fruits are all available to taste. Sun-dried fruits and 100% natural honey are among the favourites.

Now it's time to head inside the winery to sample the home-made jams, pickles, relishes, sauces and butters and to take part in the art of wine tasting session.

Afterwards, it's back 'on the wagons' for some further scenic bushland trailing en route to historic All Saints Church – the virtual birthplace of the Western Australian colony and located on the banks of the picturesque Swan River. We then head for the Ice-cream Café and English Lolly Shop to sample fresh creations using local fruits and flavours before heading for home.

The Wagon Trails are family friendly and are regarded as Soft Adventures offering experiences appealing to all age groups.

Numbers:

We have a fleet of 4 wagons (10-seater, 2 x 12-seater and a 16-seater). We can cater for a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 50 people.

Weather:

The wagons are fully weatherproofed against wind, rain and sun and trails are conducted in all seasons.

Session Length:

This experience is available from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays. Please arrive no later than 9.15am. We will return at approximately 1pm. Bookings are essential. Please book in advance and all bookings are subject to availability.
